Summer Academies

Summer Academies are conferences that teachers can attend that will enhance their professional development. The Summer Academies can last from one day to as long as a week. Most of them have different workshops in different states all throughout the summer. These workshops are also often times offered through colleges and universities all over the nation. Many programs are offered through buisness that specialize in proffessional development, such as the Landmark School Outreach Program. Often times, schools will send groups of teachers to workshops. The Summer Academy workshops have a large variety of topics that are covered in each class. Some of these include leadership skills, the five reading components, boosting test scores, cooperative learning, improving teacher quality, building the class of your dreams, and many more. The main topic we will focus on is enhancing your teaching with the use of technology.
